VLOAD - Verification of knife-edge bearings for ArcelorMittal sheet pile wall profiles

User-friendly design software was developed to design the top beam for a knife-edge bearing on steel sheet piles from ArcelorMittal according to the general technical approval Z-15.6-235. The software was developed for the Windows platform in a C# development environment and implemented as a stand-alone software installation.

Data is entered in simple input windows for the geometric data, construction materials, profiles, and load data. All data entered is shown graphically. The calculations and the reinforced concrete design, including the production of reinforcement sketches, are executed automatically. All sheet pile wall data relevant to the design are stored in an encrypted database. After the calculation is completed, a report in a verifiable and printable form including explanatory drawings is generated. The program has a German and an English language program interface.
